This chapter offers faculty innovative “how-to” strategies for using formal and informal learning activities to engage students in International Business. Topics include: short-term, faculty-led, study abroad programs; hands-on classroom experiences; use of technology, namely online cultural tools; and working with English Language School services. In addition to describing different pedagogies and conceptual frameworks that combine formal and informal learning, the chapter considers both the challenges and rewards associated with such blended approaches to enhancing student engagement.
