Presents data from the U of Chicago (IL) Alfred P. Sloan Center on Parents, Children, & Work's experience sampling method (ESM) diaries & surveys of 100 intact families. The role that electronic media, especially TV & computers, play in family processes is explored. Findings suggest that using such media as a group provides families with positive experiences.
