Expertise

I study ecosystem dynamics in fossil assemblages of marine invertebrates, particularly mollusks and corals. From shallow coastal environments to deep-sea coral habitats, I use these fossils to investigate patterns and drivers for ecological changes over geologic time scales (thousands to millions of years). This research informs the development and dynamics of modern ecosystems and suggests implications for their variability and adaptability with future environmental changes.
