Expertise
I am interested in how ideological and moral beliefs relate to prejudice, stereotyping, and other forms of social judgment. My lines of research include how people decide whether others are ingroup or outgroup members, the roles of ideology and morality in social cognition, individual differences in prejudice and stereotyping, and how threat and motivation influence judgments of others. I work closely with students to examine these questions in the Social Cognition and Intergroup Processes Lab.
